 Profile

Vinciane Servantie is Associate Professor, Director of the Strategy and Entrepreneurship academic area and Academic Director of Consultandes at Universidad de los Andes School of Management. Ph.D. in Management (Bordeaux University), MBA (Universidad de los Andes), Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration (Double-degree from Toulouse Business School and Universidad de los Andes). She currently teaches Business Models for Impact and Sustainability, Management Consulting and Entrepreneurship and Innovation.

 

 

 

 

 

Research interests

Vinciane Servantie's research examines the processes by which organizations create value. Such processes are particularly challenging in specific entrepreneurship contexts such as international, social, sustainable or gender entrepreneurship sub-fields. Her research aims to understand entrepreneurial and decision-making processes for value creation. To do so, she has developed two streams of research that address value creation at different levels of analysis. The first focuses on business model perspective as an artefact to understand value creation at an extended organizational level. Business Models are defined as shared representation of the core logic of how an organization generates, shares and captures value within a value network. The second examines how entrepreneurs make decisions to evolve through their entrepreneurial process towards value creation. Studies in this stream examine how entrepreneurs shift between bricolage, effectuation and causation decision making approaches.
